Jason Kelly Johnson and Future Cities Lab’s latest public work Murmur Wall will provide a place of congregation for information seekers who value the importance of words, data, and the discussion of compelling issues and topics. Murmur Wall is a combination of sculpture, light installation, and data collector that momentarily displays words collected from trending search engines, inviting visitors to view, contemplate, discuss, and debate trending topics or phrases. Located along the south side of the steps and plaza of YBCA’s main entrance on 701 Mission Street, Murmur Wall will be accompanying FCL’s Lightswarm, creating a lively interface for civic engagement.
