Open Studios at Sanchez Art Center, November 13
If you are someone who likes to be inspired, intrigued, surprised, sparked, and enriched, you will not want to miss the upcoming Open Studios event Sunday, November 13, from 11 to 5 pm. This event is a free offering hosted by the Sanchez Art Center in Pacifica and will feature the original work of dozens of professional art-makers whose studios are on-site.
This family-friendly event provides an opportunity to explore everything from traditional printmaking, painting, and photography to cutting-edge 3-D works including assemblage, sculpture, and interactive pieces. In addition to the open studios, three galleries will be open to the public, featuring the Art Guild of Pacifica’s 58th Annual Members Show and 57th Annual Awards Artists.
A schedule of art-making demonstrations and informative talks provide opportunities to see artists at work in their studios using a wide variety of mediums and techniques. Demonstrations include weaving by Sheila Gamble, drawing by Robert Dvorak, printmaking by Celina Paul, steam bundling on silk and eco printing by Kimberlie Moutoux, techniques in clay by Kristina Ayala, and making silver wire by jewelry artist Elizabeth Ross.
Open Studios at Sanchez Art Center will have something for everyone to explore, enjoy, and maybe even take home!
