TUESDAY: NOV 28TH: ART OPENING AND PARTY FOR MICAH HANEY-OWENS feat. DJ and Live Bands

Please join us in welcoming urban artist: Micah Haney-Owens. He will be showcasing a new body of work for us in one of his rare gallery showings. His show officially begins with a DJ at F8's Happy Hour at 6 pm and runs throughout the TUESDAY band night in the RARE occasion we are putting the two together. The cover charge to see all these punk, grunge, and ROCK bands is officially set at $5. If you, however, come in between 6pm and 7pm to see both shows-art and music, you will receive a dollar off of your admission bringing it down to $4 dollars. NICE!

Artist Biography
I grew up in the East Bay and I've been drawing and painting for about as long as I can remember. I used to love drawing little stick figure war scenes with tanks and what not, and I recall how I used to love doing the little details like treads on the tank or the insignia on the side of a helicopter. Like the path of many other urban or semi-urban youths, by mid high school these interests of mine had blossomed into "urban" art. That became a strong passion of mine and from there it kinda came back full circle and I started painting canvases. Unfortunately (or fortunately?), I'm now stuck in the 9 to 5 world, so my art has become an even greater and more needed escape from the everyday bullshit.
