Noise Pop, along with Ne Timeas Restaurant Group, Nomic and The Bon Vivants, are proud to present the 20th Street Block Party—a food + music festival—happening Saturday, August 24, 2013 in San Francisco. This FREE, delicious summer feast and dance party will feature some of the city’s best restaurants, local businesses and artisans as well as a variety of indie bands and DJs.

The 20th Street Corridor (20th Street between Harrison and Bryant) will be transformed into a free, family-friendly party meant to showcase and celebrate a diverse neighborhood that blends modern ideas with community traditions to create a new San Francisco experience.

WHEN: Saturday, August 24th from 12pm-6pm

WHERE: 20th Street (Between Harrison and Bryant), and Florida Street (between 19th and 20th), San Francisco

MUSIC: The 20th Street Block Party features an incredible lineup of bands from the alternative independent music scene that reflect Noise Pop’s mission of bringing new and quality music to a discerning and passionate audience. The artists confirmed this year are:

Rounding out the event will be a variety of local craft vendors and interactive activities from some of the city’s brightest businesses and organizations.

The Ne Timeas Workshop Tent will have a pickling demonstration by Salumeria, a pasta lesson by flour + water chef Thomas McNaughton and a farmer’s market utilization workshop by Central Kitchen.

The Nomic Lounge is your gateway to connect to the community. Stop by to meet the team, get your face painted, chalk a mural and vouch for your neighbors.

Z Space is curating a party within the party that includes sketch comedy by PianoFight, professional dance lessons, a performance by The Bengsons and a live interactive version of The Dating Game.

Local literature and music magazine, Radio Silence, will be broadcasting performances and live interview with some of the Bay Area’s finest musicians at Mutiny Radio.

ABOUT NOISE POP: Since it began in 1993, Noise Pop has become a north star for the Bay Area music industry, bringing emerging and promising talent to the forefront of their events which include the Noise Pop Festival, Treasure Island Music Festival, Noisette and much more. Noise Pop has solidified itself as the true amalgamator of Bay Area culture, and with this year’s 20th Street Block Party, it continues to do what it has always done best: celebrate the independent arts within the city at large.

ABOUT NE TIMEAS: The Ne Timeas Restaurant Group, is a collaboration between chef Thomas McNaughton, and restauranteurs David Steele and David White. Current projects include: flour + water, Central Kitchen and Salumeria.

ABOUT NOMIC: Nomic is designed to serve the people who give our city soul: from bartender to barista, personal chef to personal trainer, maker to musician, sushi chef to fashionista. People driving our economy at the street level. Launching in August, Nomic is an app to build relationships and have conversations with collaborators, customers, and everyone amazing in our city. A network to connect us in the real world.

ABOUT THE BON VIVANTS: The Bon Vivants are a nationally recognized cocktail and spirit consulting company specializing in the creation of on-premise beverage programs, staff education and inspiration, concept and flavor innovation consulting for spirits brands, branding and guerilla marketing strategies for liquor companies, audience identification, ambassadorship, and the composition and execution of creative curated events. They also currently run Trick Dog.
