Description

Another big night at Audio looms when @NITIN (no.19/ My Favorite Robot) + SILKY (Faceless Records/ My Favorite Robot/OFF Recordings) combine on Friday, December 6th.

::NITIN::
Nitin's love affair with music began at an early age. His initial musical spectrum included Hip Hop, Early Electro and New Wave. It wasn’t long before the radio waves of Detroit caught his ears; and he was hooked. Techno & House was clearly the platform, and a direction was chosen.

His DJ career has spanned over 15 years having played from Coast to Coast across Canada, down to Ultra Music Festival, WMC, Miami, to The BPM Festival in Playa del Carmen, Mexico, and across the oceans to the UK. Playing alongside many of the top DJ’s in the world regularly Nitin share the decks with the likes of M.A.ND.Y Damian Lazarus, Jamie Jones, and Audiofly to name a few. Being referred to as “One of the most technically gifted DJ’s around” it’s evident that Nitin is here to stay, and his step onto the international stage may be destined. Regardless, he steadfastly focuses on the music and vibe, and wisely steers clear of industry nonsense.

::SILKY::
Originally mentored by the ‘Godfather of House’ Frankie Knuckles, Silky is a vinyl-lover at heart and his old-school mixing techniques and exclusive cutting edge track selections only serve to amplify his roots in early electronica, house and techno. What is the sound of Silky? It can be described as innovative and captivating deep underground music, dark and emotive yet driving and uplifting.

His career has seen him work regularly alongside some of the biggest talents in the industry such as Guy Gerber, Gregor Tresher and Argy to name a few. Already a prolific touring DJ, Silky has headlined shows of the calibre of Sullivan Room (New York), The Standard Hotel in Los Angeles and Kee Club in Hong Kong.

Kicking off the New Year by playing the opening of BPM Festival in Mexico, 2013 will see Silky launch his new record label ‘Faceless Recordings’ alongside good friends Climbers and Barber, and will see him release a number of very exciting solo singles and collaborations with Jonny Cruz, Nitin, Jon Charnis, Climbers, Barber and more.

DJ J.Remy of Boudoir completes this powerful lineup with a warm up set from 9:30 - 11pm.
