Immerse yourself in the world of wine courtesy of Nico Restaurant and the winemakers at LIOCO Winery and Matthiasson. Chef Nicolas Delaroque joins the vintners for a specially curated wine dinner.
SF Chronicle's 2014 Winemaker of the Year, Steve Matthiasson, will be pouring his highly acclaimed Matthiasson wines from cool climate sites in Sonoma and Napa Valley. Matt Licklider, co-owner of LIOCO and co-founder of the symposium IPOB (In Pursuit of Balance), will be pouring wines with an emphasis on older vines, sites with tougher soil, and select clones.
Chef Nicolas Delaroque grew up in Paris and Normandy and draws inspiration from his childhood, his travels throughout Europe and Asia, and from local Farmers' markets. With his restaurant, he aims to uphold fine dining standards but present them in a casual, welcoming environment.
