Nine Pound Shadow
Nine Pound Shadow is a happy-go-lucky band of family and childhood friends fashioning catchy melodies in the flats of West Berkeley. They grew up humming old-school pop tunes and somehow, note-by-note, the power and mystery of classic music wound its way into the kid’s mongrel DNA. The understated prettiness of simpler times grabbed their imaginations and steered their dreams. Born out of sounds past, re-forged into something raw and new, Nine Pound Shadow’s music provides a vital voice to lovers and dreamers in wild times of trouble and change.
Sandy’s
Alexi Glickman began performing and releasing music as Sandy’s in 2012 after fronting the Botticellis and touring with Little Wings. In Summer of 2014 Thomas Campbell put out Sandy’s debut record, Fourth Dementia, via Um Yeah Arts.
The UC Botanical Garden Summer Concert Series is back! Enjoy a magical music experience this summer under towering redwoods in the Berkeley hills. Visit our website for the full lineup: botanicalgarden.berkeley.edu
