These classes are group classes. Nia is a dance workout. We move to a variety of music. There are moves that the teacher guides you through, but you are encouraged to set your own pace and move your own way.
Typically done in bare feet, you can wear shoes if you want.
It IS a workout, so you might want to bring a towel and water. Some people like a mat for our floorplay (stretching and strength exercises).
