Jon and Tucker Nichols are brothers who live in Northern California, where Jon plays music and Tucker shows his artwork at galleries and museums around the world. Crabtree is their first book for children. Jon made most of the words. Tucker made most of the drawings.
Angela Petrella is the co-author of the upcoming McSweeney's book, Recipe. She was born in Ohio and has lived in the Bay Area since 2004. Previously, she worked at Pixar in the story department and has recently relocated to Los Angeles to continue work in animation.
J. Otto Seibold was born in Oakland, California. He is the first person to use digital software to create children’s books with Mr. Lunch Takes a Plane Ride (1993) and has continued publishing for the past twenty years.
