New Alcatraz Tour Option

As Santa Clara’s best in class hotel, the Hyatt Regency Santa Clara along with GrayLine Tours is offering a new Alcatraz Combo Tour, which will depart from the hotel every Saturday. This new tour is an additional add-on option (with rates specified below) to complement the hotel’s “Family Breakfast” Package and the “Alcatraz: Life on the Rock” exhibit.
GrayLine Tours Alcatraz Combo Tour
Beginning December 14th, with departures on Saturday mornings from Hyatt Regency Santa Clara, guests will be able to enjoy a convenient San Francisco Ultimate City Tour. This all-day, guided tour of San Francisco and Alcatraz meets at the hotel at 8:00 a.m., with departure promptly at 8:30 a.m., and features a fully narrated tour of the city with the ultimate stop at Pier 33 where guests will then board Alcatraz Cruises for a self-guided tour of Alcatraz Island. This tour is available to local residents and hotel guests alike. Cost is $99 for adults and $69 for children. Designed for those who just want the basics and the very best value, the Hyatt Regency Santa Clara’s “Family Breakfast” package features a spacious guest room for up to four people as well as buffet breakfast for the whole family. The “Family Breakfast” Package starts at only $109 for up to two adults and two children.
“Alcatraz: Life on the Rock” Exhibit
As an added winter attraction, Hyatt Regency Santa Clara is the new, temporary home of the “Alcatraz: Life on the Rock” and “Alcatraz: The Last Day” exhibits. Free and open to the public (24 hours/day, seven days/week), this comprehensive exhibit is an ideal way for families, students and visitors alike to get a real feel for the history of and the fascination with Alcatraz.
“Alcatraz: Life on the Rock” features installations that include “How Do You Know Alcatraz?” which offers a compelling introduction, complete with a model of the island and a look at The Rock’s place in history and in movies. Additionally, there are four quadrants that feature the following: a “Military History”; an authentic replica of a prison cell that is the centerpiece of the “Life on the Inside”; “Strength: The Native American Indian Occupation”; and “Preserving the Rock.”
