Neck of the Woods Presents: ROBOTS AMONG HUMANS, ARTCLS, Mourning Mountains

SEE EVENT DETAILS
Robots Among Humans

Powerhouse electro-prog rock quartet Robots Among Humans is packed with soaring melodies, tech-rock instrumentals and raging breakdowns. Preceded by the reputation of their live show, 2016 marks the first official music release with album “High on Sounds and Science”. Prior, Robots Among Humans has made a name with edgy, hard-hitting shows in which you're likely to see vocalist Rebecca Henry hanging from the ceiling and guitarist Daniel Greenblatt sliding across the floor, guitar behind head. Named "one of Denver's fastest growing bands", the group's energy is endless and groove indisputable. Held down by drummer Will Schiesser and bassist Bryant Bourgeois, the band's heavy and odd, yet infectious backbeat drives Robots Among Humans to create boundary-breaking experimental rock for a new age.

ARTCLS

Stationed in Northern California. Inspired by bands like Incubus, Deftones, and Circa Survive. Articles was created by long time friends Dylan Toot & Mariano Lopez. After a year of strict songwriting, the additions of James Garner on bass and Ryan Muck on drums solidified the lineup.

Mourning Mountains

Self-described simply as 'experimental rock n' roll," Oakley-based four-piece Mourning Mountains sell themselves a bit short with such a succinct tagline. Their music is certainly experimental rock n' roll, but that's not all it is - it can be danceable, it can be heavy, it can be spacey enough for the stoners and boisterous enough for the drinkers and endlessly intriguing for serious indie rock aficionados who will try to scramble up sonic comparisons, maybe referencing the more raucous songs of Modest Mouse (the alliteration shared by both band names perhaps no small coincidence) or classic '80s post-punk.
