Lender
Lender is a group of Bay Area natives who started playing music together in high school. Their original style drew largely on classic rock and jam band influences, then began to mix in a wide range of modern and alternative inspirations. The result is a unique blend of tones ranging from heavy walls of sound, to soft ethereal grooves, to floor pounding funk. Each member takes a turn on the mic and you can always expect interesting lyrics and carefully crafted harmonies. They've been called a mixture of the Grateful Dead, Radiohead and Pink Floyd, among many other influences. However it is immediately apparent Lender has created a sound that is all their own.
Ned and the Dirt
When you throw one southerner and two north-easterners into a blender and then pour them out in Los Angeles you get Ned and the Dirt’s unique brand of Graveyard Indie-Rock. Ned’s southern roots can be found in his preacher’s tongue and garage-party swagger, but it’s The Dirt’s northern grit that gives their music a grip on your ears. Their live performances drip with honesty (and sweat) so go get up close if you’re ready to feel. But don’t worry, you won’t be alone. You’ll be having those feelings with everyone in the crowd, and then you’ll leave that night being a more enriched person because you accidentally connected with so many other people. Don’t just buy it because I’m telling you this, though. Go see Ned and the Dirt for yourself.
Revolushn
The Revolushn began when NO (songwriting/vocals/guitar) met Aaron Connor (producer, bass guitar) in a Kansas City studio in 2012. Aaron, with several gold and platinum records under his belt was impressed with NO's songwriting and studio skills. Bobby Killer Bee (guitar, vocals), who owed the studio, offered NO studio time to record some new songs. NO brought in some of his friends including David Kendrick (DEVO, SPARKS), Wayne Coyne (FLAMING LIPS), Jimmy Leggs, D-Blues and Michael Angelo Batio. Revolushn was born. The sessions turned into a gig in Kansas City. The video from that show featured the song KC. KC quickly became popular in Kansas City and generated over 50,000 YouTube hits. The song attracted the attention of the owner of the Kansas City Royals. Over the next two years the sessions continued and the result is Revolushn's first album THE FRESHMAN. As the music of Revolushn evolved more members were added. The band currently lists 12 active musicians, two lawyers, a filmmaker and an astronaut. During the first two years Revolushn released 6 videos featuring some of the songs on The Freshman.
