Gentle Spirit
Gentle Spirit, formerly known as The Music Wrong, is the creation of San Francisco songwriter Marcus Stoesz. Stoesz previously headed the influential Kansas band Paper Airplanes, and is best known in the city of San Francisco as one of the directors of Rock Band Land, a music and creativity school in the heart of the city. Gentle Spirit has crafted a small catalog of songs that should resonate with listeners on an emotional level. The grief is there and all consuming, but moments of joy and acceptance arise and make the whole experience worth having.

Welcome to The Narrow Valley, where you'll find a tiny California town imagined by Bryan John Appleby. Here, bells swirl in the breeze, organs tremble with the surf, and long-buried bones tell of impending disaster. Captive to a nagging curiosity, Appleby, a Seattle-based singer-songwriter, has embarked on a heady sonic journey, following in the footsteps of mad geniuses Brian Wilson, Ennio Morricone, and Harry Nilsson to embrace a kind of florid, maximalist pop songwriting. We Became Owls is an Alternative Americana band from Oakland, CA. Songwriter Andrew Blair and multi-instrumentalist Ross Warner began creating, writing, and composing music together in middle school. Influenced by the sound of Greenwich Village in the 60's, the Texas of Van Zandt and Earl, and more contemporary acts like Wilco, Damien Jurado, Drive by Truckers, and Jeff Buckley, We Became Owls recalls a sound heard in the jukes, front porches, barns, and hillsides of a long forgotten era.
