The guitarist from Hot Buttered Rum sets the table for an all-star jam with some of the most charismatic characters in bluegrass/acoustic/indie-folk worlds. Members of Elephant Revival, The Brothers Comatose, T Sisters, Front Country, SUPERMULE, Steep Ravine, plus Rushad Eggleston, James Nash, Tim Snider, Mountain Motion & Out in the Hollar. This is a December tradition now in its 9th year.
You'll see all these performers do their thing, and then collaborate with each other to premiere new music and new combinations. It's sorta like the Last Waltz; it's sorta like the all-together-now last set of a weekend festival; it's curated with an aim to be the most entertaining night ever. You sit at a table, drinking cocktails, and take it all in. The second set will be more of a dance show.
featuring:
Bonnie Paine (Elephant Revival), Rushad Eggleston (Crooked Still), Ben Morrison (Brothers Comatose), T Sisters, James Nash (The Waybacks), Tim Snider, Jacob Groopman (Front Country), Yoseff Tucker (Supermule), Jan Purat (Steep Ravine), Bryan Horne (HBR), Lucas Carlton (HBR), Mountain Motion (juggling troupe), Out in the Hollar (Erin Munning & Justin Munning), and of course Nat Keefe.
The NKCC will be a holiday toy drive with Conscious Alliance. Please bring a toy in good condition and it will be passed on to a kid who might not get many presents this year. (No wrapping please.) Receive a very special poster!
Explanation about the ticketing: The $35 Reserve Table tickets are pretty sweet. There are 20 4-seat tables set up in front of the stage. Seating is assigned by the order in which tickets are bought. The $20 General Admission ticket holders have access to some seating (get there early) and dancing/standing room. There will be portions of the evening where you'll want to dance, and portions that will be more listening-oriented. The show begins at 8pm sharp and will last about 3 hours.
