On Mother's Day, Sunday, May 12, Beach Chalet Brewery & Restaurant will be open from 8:00 AM to 10:00 PM serving a brunch menu from 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM with specials including Tuna Tartare for $14.00 with garlic, ginger, soy sauce, apples and won tons; English Pea Soup for $7.00 with spring onion and smoked ham croquette; Wild Mushroom Omelet for $14.00 with goat cheese, potatoes and sourdough toast; Classic Egg Benedict for $14.00 with Black Forest ham, baby greens, potatoes and hollandaise sauce; Herb Grilled Sturgeon for $26.00 with rosemary caper polenta cake, baby spinach and arrabiata sauce; Braised Short Ribs for $22.00 with horseradish mashed potato, mushroom ragout, braised greens and crispy onions; and Smoked Pork Griddle Cakes for $19.00 with spiced bourbon syrup and preserved Meyer lemon butter. Starting at 2:00 PM, among the a la carte dinner entrées will be Herb Marinated Steak Frites for $21.00 with shoestring fries and caramelized onion sauce; Seared Sea Scallops for $23.00 with seasonal risotto and white truffled caper sauce; Herb Grilled Sturgeon for $26.00 with rosemary caper polenta cake, baby spinach and arriabatta sauce; and Coffee Rubbed Pork Chop for $23.00 with wilted pea tendrils, taro puree, grilled mushrooms and ancho coconut sauce. There will be specially priced wines, including sparkling wine, and all moms will receive a complimentary spring flower, while supplies last.
