San Mateo, Calif. – The Mission Hospice Auxiliary invites the community to its annual Fall Gala, “Rock Around the Clock,†taking place Saturday, October 11 at the Peninsula Golf & Country Club in San Mateo. The ‘50s-inspired evening, led by Honorary Chair Senator Jerry Hill and event chair Martha Melton, will include dinner, dancing, live and silent auctions, as well as music and entertainment by Joe Mag Music. 1950s attire is encouraged (denim approved).
Proceeds from the event will support Mission Hospice & Home Care’s project to develop the county’s first hospice house. The hospice house would provide a peaceful, homelike setting for patients whose end-of-life comfort cannot be managed in their own homes.
Tickets are sold in advance only and cost $135 per person ($75 tax deductible), or $1,350 for a table of 10. Free valet parking will be available. To RSVP online by October 1, visit
