Gena Olivier’s beautifully dark vocal wanes are reminiscent of 60’s female powerhouses like Grace Slick. Guitarist Larry Schemel plus new members’ bassist Ryan Wood and Drummer Sandra Vu provide dirty psychedelic riffs on Midnight Movies second release "Lion the Girl" (New Line). The band tours this summer with various acts including: Autolux, Blonde Redhead, The Raveonettes, and Sea Wolf.

Elements of powerhouse rock and undertones of folk, combined with one strapping femme fatale by the name of Aja sum-up Los Angeles threesome Nico Vega. They leave an impressionable mark with their kinetic live performances.
