LINDA BLAIR, OPENING WEEKEND! / ELVIRA, MIDNIGHT MASS FINALE! JULY 10th & 11th LINDA BLAIR TRIBUTE WEEKEND with Linda Blair in-person! Friday, July 10th ROLLER BOOGIE Love is born to boogie in this romantic adventure about a Beverly Hills teen who takes love for a spin with a boy from the wrong side of the roller rink. Terry Barkley (Linda Blair) has a talent for the flute, a scholarship to Juilliard and her whole future planned until she falls head over wheels for a roller boogie bad boy. But Terry may lose more than her bearings when the local roller park is threatened by a shady development deal and the mob threatens to turn their boogie hot spot into a disco inferno. Roller Boogie is the ultimate fast-paced, freewheeling '70s roller romp full of hot bodies, cool skating and hard- driving disco music! Directed by Mark Lester. (USA, 1979) Saturday, July 11th THE EXORCIST Between heaven and hell lies the battle for a young girl's soul in this timeless, recently expanded shocker (now including the legendary "spider walk" sequence) starring Ellen Burstyn, Max von Sydow and Linda Blair as Regan, a young girl possessed by the devil. The forces of good and evil square off in an atmosphere of gnawing dread that makes it all seem is all very, very real. With searing power and enduring impact, this masterful frightmare astonishes time and again like no other movie. Screenplay by William Peter Blatty, based on his novel. Directed by William Friedkin. (USA, 1973) This year's season kick-off is a not-to-be-missed Linda Blair Tribute Weekend featuring cult film superstar Linda Blair making her Midnight Mass debut. Peaches and Linda will be putting on two unforgettable pre-shows this weekend featuring performances, an on-stage interview, audience Q&A, post-show fan meet and greet, and more- both nights! JULY 18th HEATHERS with a very deadly Westerburg High Reunion! Teen angst has rarely been as funny or poignant as in this deliciously dark comedy. At Westerburg High, you're either a Heather or a nobody. Heather Chandler, Heather McNamara, and Heather Duke (Shannen Doherty) are the coolest of the cool. Veronica Sawyer (Winona Ryder) is also part of the powerful "Heathers" clique and is the best friend of Heather Chandler-the reigning crown princess of Westerburg. Life here is no game, it's a full-scale war for popularity. Veronica is soon disgusted by the cruel peer politics when along comes the mysterious new kid, Jason Dean (Christian Slater) who offers Veronica the perfect solution to end the Heathers' tyranny. Their meeting was destiny, and their love has a body count. Directed by Michael Lehmann. (USA, 1988) Can you survive a Westerburg High Reunion? It's night of 1,000 Heathers and Peaches is calling all mega-bitches to attend the deadliest high school reunion you've ever seen. Prizes for the ultimate Heather! Do not miss the Midnight Mass debut of this long-awaited Heathers screening. It'll be very. JULY 25th EVIL DEAD 2: DEAD BY DAWN with Zombie Drag Queen Rollder-Derby! The sole survivor of Evil Dead's fateful camping trip (Bruce Campbell) returns to the remote cabin to once again do battle with sadistic warriors of the spirit world. As in the previous film, the non-stop thrills are fast and furious, but with equal parts humor and horror. Directed by Sam Raimi (Spider-Man, Drag Me To Hell). (USA, 1987) Peaches hates sports, except for this one. Watch as she and Martiny referee Zombie Drag Queen Roller-Derby! Yes, you heard right- dead drag queens battle for the prize to stay alive- again. Tonight, we all get dragged to hell. All audience members will be require to sign a "release of liability form" before entering the theatre tonight. JULY 31st & AUGUST 1st SHOWGIRLS with Free Lap-Dances With Every Large Tub O' Corn! The mother of all contemporary camp classics, this celluloid travesty about naked Vegas dancers stars a deliriously over-the-top Elizabeth Berkley, who literally claws her way to the top, high-stepping on Gina Gershon and anyone else in her way. Blame it on the doggie chow! Directed by Paul Verhoeven (of Basic Instinct infamy). Buy a soda and show your friends what you can do with an ice cube! (USA, 1995) The best movie ever made celebrates its 12th Annual Mass screening. The only movie to be screened all twelve years is preceded by Peaches' legendary Goddess-inspired performance spectacular. As always, free lap-dances with every tub of popcorn! AUGUST 8th PINK FLAMINGOS With Filthiest Person Alive Talent Search! Two tasteless families-Divine and her egg-obsessed, mentally ill mother (Edith Massey), and the murderous Connie and Raymond Marble (Mink Stole, David Lochery)-battle to the death for the title of "The Filthiest People Alive" in John Waters' camp-freak- trash-cult sensation. The mother of midnights directed by John Waters. (USA, 1972/1997) The search is on to find an all new Filthiest Person Alive! In 2003, Renttecca won the title of filthiest person alive in the most disgusting pre-show to ever grace the stage at Midnight Mass. Tonight, Renttecca passes the crown as Peaches hosts her own American Idol Star Search for Filth. Also, free vomit bag with every ticket! AUGUST 15th POLTERGEIST Featuring The Pre-Show Specacular POLTER-CHRIST! "They're here!" When 6-year-old Heather O'Rourke is kidnapped by a group of vengeful poltergeists, horrified parents Craig T. Nelson and JoBeth Williams enlist the diminutive Zelda Rubinstein to cast out the nasty spirits from their new suburban home. Co- produced and co-written by Steven Spielberg; directed by Tobe Hooper (Lifeforce, the original Texas Chainsaw Massacre). (USA, 1982) Do not miss the full-blown stage-show spectacular POLTER-CHRIST! The Midnight Mass Players proudly present a theatrical experience starring Martiny as the sidekick sucked into a movie screen, and Peggy L'eggs as the magical wee who helps Peaches cross-over into the light to retrieve her. Also starring, fog and strobe lights galore! AUGUST 21st & 22nd ELVIRA, MISTRESS OF THE DARK With ELVIRA herself live and in-person! Elvira bursts out in her outrageously funny feature film debut. When her Great Aunt dies, famed horror hostess Elvira heads for the uptight New England town of Falwell to claim her inheritance of a haunted house, a witch's cookbook and a punk rock poodle. But once the stuffy locals get an eyeful of the scream queen's ample assets, all hell busts out and breaks loose. Can "The Madonna Of The Macabre" find love with a studly cinema owner, avoid her creepy Great Uncle, titillate the town's teens and become a Las Vegas dance sensation all without being burned alive at the stake? Cassandra Peterson stars in this sexy comedy hit, filled with wild wisecracks, campy chaos and scary movie spoofs, all poured into the lowest-cut black gown in horror movie history! Directed by James Signorelli. (USA, 1988) After twelve fabulous summer seasons of Midnight Mass at The Bridge Theatre, it only seems fitting to have the ultimate finale feature the hugely anticipated return of the one-and-only Elvira, live and in- person. Peaches and Elvira have been touring the country with an anniversary show celebrating the 1988 cult film classic, Elvira: Mistress Of The Dark and are finally bringing it home and giving the show its San Francisco premiere. Peaches' dear ghoul-friend, Elvira, will make a rare appearance in full goth drag with performance, an on-stage interview, audience Q&A, post-show fan meet and greet, and more- both nights! Also, the two dark divas plan to give the Midnight Mass audience a never-before-seen sneak peak at a scene from All About Evil, the upcoming feature film co-starring Cassandra Peterson (Elvira) and Peaches Christ, directed by Joshua Grannell. |
