The Bold Italic and Yammer present the 2nd annual Mid Riff microhood party. Co-presented with EpicenterSF, Twitter and Blick, it's happening on Thursday, March 28th from 6 to 8 p.m. It will focus on Market Street between 6th and 7th. The area is home to impressive art spaces, one of the most beloved music venues on the West Coast, and great restaurants, bars, and shops. The Mid Riff is an evening of discounted eats, complimentary libations, special deals, art openings, and live performances.

-The “Glowing Crosswalk” urban prototyping concept provides increased visibility of pedestrians within a crosswalk at night.
-"I just wanna hold your hand" encourages people to hold hands with strangers, to activate a brilliant light display.
-Street Stage is a mobile parklet dedicated to street performance
-Smart Stops tell you more than just when the next bus is coming with simple signs bolted onto the stops, text messaging and a public data API.
Showdown Drink specials- $3 well drinks $3 draught beers! 5-8pm. Live djs all night.
Burning Man Project presents performances from the colorful and energetic Carpetbag Brigade, a Physical Theater Company who will be sharing a site-flexible performance titled “Sailor and Sirens” at 6:15, 6:45, 7:15 and 7:45 around the intersection of 6th and Market Streets. This acrobatic stilt troupe overlaps the worlds of dance, theater and circus with daring spectacle and charm!
Center for New Music: New music groups The Living Earth Show and Future Cities will preview their March 29/30 concerts/record release with selections from their debut album "White Blood Cells." Music by local and international composers for guitar/percussion (LES) and piano/percussion (futureCities). Wine by Thorny Rose
