No Lovely Thing is an 8 piece funk & soul band from Oakland. Led by singer Melissa Jones and guitarist John Givens, the group's eclectic sound has been compared to Eryka Badu, Sharon Jones & the Dap Kings, and The White Stripes.
Qualia
Qualia is the auditory outfit spearheaded by Alison Niedbalski. Born in Alabama and raised in the dirty South (Bend, IN), her devotion to music became apparent early on by the hours she spent spinning records, playing classical piano, and arguing with other children who "loved" the Beatles but had never heard of Harry Nilsson. After coming of age in the Chicago scene, she moved West to teach philosophy. Soon after, she found her heart in San Francisco, and a home in Oakland. Witness her brand of Torch Gospel as it moves across the Bay Area and beyond.
VinCi & Her Groove Sector
Get soul-minded with original singer/songwriter, VinCi Vibe! Her sound is unexpected yet familiar as she integrates ready hints of jazz, suffused in a close study of 70's rock and soul classics while blithely blending a fervor reckoning of pop sense! Formerly known as VinCi & Her Groove Sector, this name now serves as her LIVE band entity. VinCi Vibe has two albums under her belt and her current intriguing jazzy pop single titled, ! Her latest album release, titled R I S E , (available on iTunes, Amazon, Pandora, Spotify..and wherever music is sold) is an album of sweet magic. R I S E reunites VinCi Vibe with executive producer, Michael S. Rosen, whose musical amplitude begets her noteworthy song craft and this album is a reflection of that esteemed collaboration.
