Two very differently themed installations are on display in the Harrington Gallery's public exhibition spaces at the Firehouse Arts Center in Pleasanton.
Through November 12: "Meditation" is title of the series of mixed-media work by El Cerrito artist Pamela Fingado. Meant to draw the viewer into the world of consciousness, each piece was begun with mediation on one of the seven chakras - major junction points between body and consciousness.
Through December 17: Abstract Bay Area cityscapes is the theme of collage artist Belinda Lima's vibrant works, depicting the Golden Gate Bridge, Alcatraz, and other iconic locations.
