The artist name "May地" is derived from her real name, and it demonstrates her hope to always "sing songs that will be everyone痴 main theme." In 2008, she performed as the singing voice of Diva of the Galaxy, Sheryl Nome, in the TV anime "Macross Frontier." She released two singles that same year which instantly became big hits, each placing in the Top 3 on the Oricon Weekly Chart of Japan in their debut week. All of May地痴 releases since then have consistently entered the top music charts.
In addition to her work on anime songs, May地 has contributed to many live-action television shows, films and video games including: Valkyria Chronicles 3 (for PSP), Real Onigokko THE ORIGIN (for TV), Ikenie no Jirenma (The Sacrifice Dilemma)(for film), The Incite Mill (for film) and E.X.TROOPERS (for PS3 and Nintendo 3DS).
Her second 6-city tour of Asia in May 2011 was a big success. She participated in the largest-in-Europe Japanese Culture and Entertainment Festival "Japan Expo 2011" and received a standing ovation. On March 2012, her first world tour "ROCK YOUR BEATS" held 34 performances in countries such as Japan, USA, China, Germany, France, and Korea.
She fascinates the audience with her irresistible singing skills and unique voice, and she continues to be the must-see "New Generation Female Rock Vocalist."
