Mating Ritual
Mating Ritual’s Ryan Marshall Lawhon is a journeyman who can’t sit still. Relocating up and down the west coast twice a year until he was 18, the producer-songwriter has become accustomed to change; the very opposite of a “creature of habit”. His restless need to be on the move is a driving force in the creation of his music. Forever pushing the boundaries of songwriting and production, he continues to release complex yet catchy songs that question the traditional ideals of genre classification. After the hiatus of his prior band Pacific Air, Ryan cranked up his songwriting prolificacy and found immense freedom in the world of independent recording. Uninhibited by appeasing an ideal or genre, Ryan began recording what he calls Post-Genre-Pop under the alias Mating Ritual.
Satchmode
Satchmode is an up-and-coming Los Angeles dream pop band whose blend of glittery 80's synths and giddy electro pop has drawn comparisons to heavyweight acts like Phoenix and M83. Satchmode's first two EP's have received glowing praise from popular music publications and blogs such as Clash, Dancing Astronaut, The Music Ninja, and The Wild Honey Pie. They have had five Top 10 tracks on Hype Machine, including a #1 Remix, and appear regularly on the taste-making playlists of renowned LA radio station KCRW. Their debut full-length record is due out in the fall of 2016.
Sunrunners
Sunrunners is a San Francisco-based quintet led by singer / songwriter Stephen Loase. Since releasing their first self-titled album in 2014 the band has been making a name for themselves with high-energy live shows at popular Bay Area venues like Great American Music Hall, Rickshaw Stop, Slim's, Bottom of the Hill, Elbo Room and more. A combination of haunting piano licks, ethereal guitar and synth riffs, pounding bass lines all backed by a thunderous drumset, you can catch them on Spotify, Soundcloud and, if you're lucky, Live 105's Soundcheck Show w/ Aaron Axelson (w/ single "Stars and Colors"). Their song "Save Everyone" was also featured in a promo for "The Voice" in 2016. The band is headed into the studio later this year to work on their next album, and they can't freaking wait to share it with you all.
