Masha Campagne is an award-winning vocalist born and raised in Moscow, Russia. She was introduced to jazz by her multi-reed-playing grandfather at a fairly young age, and began listening to Duke Ellington, Ella Fitzgerald, Nat King Cole, Oscar Peterson, Count Basie, Tom Jobim, and Astrud Gilberto. After arriving in San Francisco in 1991, she immersed herself in the local jazz scene, winning the first prize in the prestigious Downbeat Student Music Award for her work with jazz vocal group "Fanfares." Since then, she has graced the stages at Yoshi's, Kuumbwa, and Monterey Jazz Festival, to name but a few.
