Mark Banks started his career in music when dropped out of college to reform his teenage rock band HWY ONE. The highlight of the band's short-lived career came when they performed a gig at The Whisky a Go Go in Hollywood. However, after excessive drug use and generally bad decisions, Mark Banks took a break from music only to return to it years later, coming back to his hometown of Monterey. He has moved away from his rebellious grunge roots and has embraced a softer, jazzier side.
