I offer a gentle somatic /body centered approach to help people create a more positive sense of self in their relationships with others. I will work with you individually, as couple or family to identify restrictive, habituated patterns that give rise to anxieties, self esteem issues and relationship problems and help you manage them in a way that encourages greater choice, intimacy and authenticity.
I have studied with Stanley Keleman and incorporate his Formative Psychology into my relational clinical style. I am also trained in EMDR, a research-based embodied-cognitive psychotherapy effective in resolving painful memories and psychological wounds related to past emotional, physical and sexual trauma or abuse.
For people who have experienced individual, couple or family therapy and are interested in further personal growth work focused on creating deeper relationships, I facilitate relationship oriented therapy groups for men and women in Oakland and San Francisco.
