Raise your home's IQ at the Marin Home & Garden Expo
The Marin Builders Association invites you to a celebration of Marin County’s “smart” lifestyle at the Third Annual Marin Home & Garden Expo June 1 and 2 at the Marin Center Fairgrounds and Exhibit Hall.
A Smart Home is economical, durable, eco-friendly, healthy, labor saving and adaptable. Learn how to raise your home’s IQ at the Marin Home & Garden Expo. Talk with exhibitors who have smart products and services, from green technologies to home automation. Learn from expert lecturers on Saturday on subjects such as sexy low energy LED lighting with Randall Whitehead and rainwater storage with Sally Dominguez or Rainwater HOG. On Sunday, don’t miss PJ Bremier in conversation with universal design specialists Marc Mendelsohn and Cass Calder Smith or Architect Eric Corey Freed’s presentation on innovative new models for sustainable living. Full schedule of presenters are on the event website.
Experience an interactive Smart Home technology exhibit that puts audio/video and lighting control right at your fingertips. SRS Custom Integration of San Rafael have planned a fully integrated exhibit where Expo attendees can experience firsthand how one smart device such as an iPad can be used to control lighting, window shades, and audio/visual and gaming systems.
Exhibitors, will showcase how to make your home smarter with innovative ideas and sustainable trends in how we build, live in and care for our homes and gardens. The Marin Home & Garden Expo will connect you with hundreds of local businesses who are experts in helping you create your ideal dwelling and show you how to get your home working for you.
Special landscape exhibits will be created on the fairgrounds by recipients of the new Landscape Innovation Award: Outdoor Environments and Reilly Designs.
Having fun is smart too, so hold on to your hardhats! Announcing this year’s inaugural Marin Builders Challenge on Saturday. The foremost contractors in Marin will go head-to-head to show off their skills. The whole family will enjoy watching heavy equipment operators deftly perform feats of magic—placing small objects on a road cone using an excavator or shooting soccer goals with a 20,000 lb. backhoe.
The Marin Home & Garden Expo will also host live performances throughout the weekend. Marin’s community music groups of all ages will entertain attendees on the Home Grown Marin Music Stage. Bring the kids. There will be activities and fun for all.
