Description

March Gladness is a community recreation event bringing together children, youth, families, and community members to celebrate what is good in the neighborhood, and bring needed resources to the community. There will be several teams competing in soccer and flag football matches.

Each team will include local Mission neighborhood youth, Mission Police Station Officers, and City employees. There will be a free BBQ, activities for children, and resources for youth, families and community members provided by city agencies and community based organizations.

Mayor Gavin Newsom, in collaboration with the San Francisco Recreation and Parks Department, Lower 24th Street Merchant & Neighborhood Association, Sunset Scavenger, Mission Neighborhood Centers, San Francisco Police Department: Mission Station and other community organizations will be hosting the Fifth Annual March Gladness Soccer and Flag-Football Tournament in the sunny Mission District of San Francisco.
