San Francisco January 25, 2014 – Mirus Gallery is pleased to announce, LOCAL, a group exhibition focusing on Bay Area artists, featuring Nome Edonna, Joe Hengst, Michael Page, Kevin Earl Taylor, David Choong Lee, ApexOne, Micah Lebrun, Justin Levato and more.
LOCAL is mirus gallery’s first exhibition of 2014 and the first local show for the gallery. Though these artists are diverse in nationality, subject, medium, and style, it is their location that ties them all together.
Paul Hemming curated this exhibition in order to promote the skilled artists in our back door. “It is important as a gallery owner and curator to support the artists in our area especially with the talent and skills that the artists in this exhibition have. Without them San Francisco would not be the cultural center it is today.” - Paul Hemming
Many of the artists exhibiting in this show are established artists. Their work is detailed, thought-out and compelling. This is a fantastic exhibition to kick off the new year and should not be missed!
