Gordon Waze cultivated his Djing style in one of the most respected and admired house music havens in the world — San Francisco, California. Since beginning his Dj career in 2000, Waze (also operating under the moniker Dj “Helicopter” Gordon & Sunwoo) has become one of the most sought-after Djs in the large San Francisco Dj community. His universal popularity arises from his expertise in crossing many genres of electronic dance music (including deep, electro, minimal, tribal, tech, funk, and breaks) with his seamless live remixes of loops, effects and a cappellas over a creative selection of house music tracks. Playing alongside house music legends such as Kaskade , Axwell, M.A.N.D.Y, Deep Dish, Laidback Luke, Lee Burridge, Danny Howells, Cedric Gervais, and Lil Lous Vega has inspired Gordon’s passion for the art of Djing and catapulted his skills towards even greater levels of excellence.
Recently Gordon has been in the studio, collaborating on productions with Sultan feat. Dirty Vegas, on Harem Records., and has released past remix projects for Oscar G (Murk/Funky Green Dogs) and Danny “Buddah” Morales. His latest release is on Nervous Records — Oscar G’s “Angel” (Gordon Waze Dub).
