Spend an evening with some of the funniest up-and-coming comedians in the Bay Area. Branded Funny is a comedy showcase headlined by Shaun Latham and hosted by Melanie Bega, featuring comedians who have been on Comedy Central, HBO, Showtime and more. Bega, a San Jose native, has opened for Ben Gleib and Sean Patton and was a finalist in the 2013 Rooster T. Feathers Comedy Competition.
Why does Shaun Latham crack us up? Because he lays everything out on the table. Shaun isn’t afraid to go off the cuff and go to any and all members of the crowd and even take a few jabs at himself! Don’t be offended by his “lazy eye” jokes, because he sure isn’t.
Shaun is what we like to call an empowering comic. He holds nothing back and doesn’t let any limitations get in his way. He’s also LMFAO hilarious, with great riffs on dating, partying, sports and video games, and plenty of other everyday life scenarios (basically all the stuff guys deem important).
With his first big screen appearance in an indy film “I’m Not Like That No More” alongside Paul Rodriguez and Felipe Esparza in 2009, Shaun showed us there is more to his abilities than meets the eye.
Gabriel Iglesias is a huge fan of Shaun’s talents and gave him the “Fluffy” stamp of approval by bringing him on the road for two national tours (Fluffyshop, Stand up Revolution). During the same time, he made his network television premiere on season one of Comedy Central’s “Stand Up Revolution," and a recent appearance on season three which is slated to air just before summer 2014!
2013 was a good year for Shaun, as he was a featured headliner on NUVOtv’s “Stand up and Deliver” season two, as well as an invited guest to the first ever Oslo Comedy Festival in October!
This comedian always brings new material that’ll have you ROLLING. Shaun is definitely a talent worth keeping an eye on and will make for some great water cooler talk the morning after you experience his show!
