DOSA is thrilled to announce a new series, Discover @ DOSA, which will feature local musicians and artists and further enhance the dining experience. The first event in the series will feature well-known Indian musician, Gautam Tejas Ganeshan, who’s authentic voice and intelligent approach breathe new life into an old tradition. Delivered in chamber ensembles, his concerts reflect a traditional aesthetic, transforming a highly cultured musical heritage through the creation of an ongoing body of original work based on love and understanding of Carnatic music. Gautam has performed in the SF Bay Area at venues including the SFMOMA, SFJAZZ, Asian Art Museum, Hertz Hall at UC Berkeley, among others.
Situated in the main dining room at DOSA Fillmore, the musicians will play South Indian classical music. As DOSA is a thoughtful reinterpretation of South Indian cuisine, Gautam’s art form is a thoughtful reinterpretation of South Indian music - albeit very traditional in most respects. To accompany the music performance, Executive Chef Anjan Mitra and the talented kitchen will serve a special prix fixe family-style menu featuring new, seasonal dishes. The full bar menu featuring spice route cocktails, along with the wine and beer list, will be available for purchase.
Advance tickets for the music performance and paired dinner are $60 for the first seating and $70 for the second seating, all inclusive. Tickets purchased after February 22 are priced at $65 for the first seating and $75 for the second seating.
