Lil Jon's two-time stint on the Celebrity Apprentice made one thing clear: He's as talented a business mogul as he is a rapper. He directly affiliated himself (and his group, the East Side Boyz) with the then-underground Southern, hyped up hip-hop sound "Crunk" and his 2002 track "Get Low" is the very definition of a booty-shaking club-banger. He comes to Pure Lounge on Thursday not to rap, though, but to spin records, and he's no Johnny-come-lately to the DJ circuit. Lil Jon actually started DJing in the early '90s before ever rocking a mic, and knows a few things about making a crowd go ballistic. Widely known for his platinum-selling productions, Lil Jon has crafted groundbreaking hits for a diverse array of artists such as Usher, Ciara, The Ying Yang Twins, E-40, Ice Cube and more. He’s also worked with will.i.am, Miley Cyrus, Britney Spears, Bret Michaels, Travis Barker, Jennifer Lopez, Machine Gun Kelly and many more.
