This young four-piece from Fresno are one of the more interesting new psych-pop bands that have come out in recent years. They play transcendental, spaced-out 60s psychedelic-rock, but with a late '70s, grimy punk-rock energy. Their songs are downright eerie and dark, like the latest Flaming Lips album, the Terror, but their beats drive hard, like the early Flaming Lips records. Currently Light Thieves are on tour promoting their latest album Spirit Homes, which is an unpolished, heavily distorted space-rock gem.
