Description
1AM SF is an art gallery celebrating urban and street art, and is committed to conveying the positive aspects of this misunderstood form of art. 1AM offers 4 classes: Stencil, Art of Graffiti “Sketching Letters”, Toy Modification, and the Letter Style and Mural Production. We give students first hand experience in the world of street and urban art by teaching them the history, culture and art styles of street art. 1AM, short for First Amendment, encourages people to freely share their ideas through street art in a responsible and innovative way.
Influential muralist Twick1 teaches 1AM’s Letter Styles and Mural Production class. Students will learn graffiti history, letter-styles, backgrounds, effects, color schemes, and the laws pertaining to graffiti in SF. After learning the fundamentals, the class as a whole brainstorms a positive message and translates the design into a mural for the exterior wall of 1AM gallery. All materials provided.Class is 4 sessions. $160/person. Ages 18+.
