Drummer Leon Joyce Jr. and his trio come to the stage at Cafe Stritch. Born in Meriden, Connecticut, Leon received his musical training through private instruction under John Oblon and Jimmy Rozelle. Throughout his illustrious career, he has performed with such artists as Ramsey Lewis, Nancy Wilson, Norman Connors, Tom Browne, Yve Evans, and many others. Leon has also made numerous appearances at some of the most prestigious international jazz music festivals, including the Montreaux & Lugano Jazz Festivals in Switzerland, and the Villingen Swing/Jazz Festival in Germany.
