Lender
Lender is a group of four Bay Area natives, who grew up playing music together. The first version of the band took shape when they were 16 years old and went through several variations before settling into its current state in 2012. Their original style drew largely on classic rock and jam band influences, but over the years began to blend in a wide range of modern and alternative inspirations. They released their debut album “You Play Me” in 2014. What’s immediately apparent in the album is their collaborative song writing process. From track to track, or even verse to verse, they bounce from one style and one singer to another. The result is a unique contrast of tones, ranging from heavy distorted rock, to indie-inspired atmospheric choruses, to fast tempo latin grooves, and much more.
The Highway Poets
Voted best Indie band by the North Bay The Highway Poets are a fine blend of American Roots and Soul music with modern style and edge. Being compared to the likes of Neil Young and the Rolling stones to Mumford n Sons and the Black keys they strive to push the barriers of folk and rock music with fresh lyrics and a new take of an old form.
L&K
L&K is an original Electric Folk collaboration created by Leah Walters and Konane Sky. The duo began with a unified resolve - remain as authentic as possible by not conforming to any finalized box of musical genre. With influences ranging from Classical to Gritty Rock, L&K masterfully weaves the extremes of sophistication with raw emotion to create a complex tapestry of sound. Often compared to the free sound of 60s Counter Culture, L&K’s unique and haunting sound invokes a beautiful yet dirty spirit all their own. Following the release of their demo in early 2015 and a successful tour this past fall, the duo is readying to release an album later this year.
