Left Bank Brasserie Menlo Park to Host Beaujolais Nouveau Celebration

Left Bank Brasserie in Menlo Park will be celebrating Beaujolais Nouveau, the “first wine” of the harvest season, on Thursday, November 17. Left Bank will feature Georges Dubœuf, Beaujolais Nouveau 2016 by the glass, carafe and bottle plus offer a seasonally inspired $36.00 prix fixe menu comprised either of three courses or two courses with a glass of wine. Prix fixe menu items will also available a la carte, for lunch and dinner, in addition to all regular a la carte offerings. All prices will exclude tax and gratuity.

Beaujolais Nouveau is a traditional French holiday celebrated on the third Thursday of November every year to herald the release of Beaujolais Nouveau wine. This wine is similar to a light bodied Pinot Noir and has fresh, fruity flavors that pair perfectly with autumn dishes.

Left Bank Brasserie will be continuing this celebration through Sunday, November 20 as follows:

Thursday, Nov. 17:
- a splash table with complimentary tastings of the wine from 5 PM to 7 PM
-“Plateau de Charcuterie et Fromage”: two charcuterie and two cheeses (serves two - four, $26.00)
-live music from 6-9 PM

Friday, Nov. 18:
-“Plateau de Charcuterie et Fromage”: two charcuterie and two cheeses (serves two - four, $26.00)

Saturday, Nov. 19:
-at dinner, featuring “Côte du Bœuf à la Moelle for 2”: 20 oz. bone in rib eye, Bordelaise sauce with beef marrow, French fries, watercress (for two, $60.00)

Sunday, Nov. 20:
-Let's Brunch! Burgers and Beaujolais, serving “Le Beret Burger": half pound natural beef patty, grilled pork belly, caramelized onions, Époisses cheese, fried egg ($19.00)

The 3-course prix fixe menu or 2-courses with glass of wine available Nov. 17 through Nov. 20:

Salade Beaujolaise, warm housemade smoked garlic sausage, lentil salad with fines herbs ($9.00)

Boeuf Bourguignon, 24 hour Beaujolais marinated natural beef flat iron, aromatic vegetables, bacon, pearl onions, mushrooms ($26.00)

Beaujolais Sorbet, citrus zest, cinnamon, almond Florentine cookie ($8.00)
