Left Bank Brasserie in Larkspur to Host Hungry for France Book Event
Left Bank Brasserie in Larkspur, together with Adventures by the Book, will host a Hungry for France book event on Wednesday, October 22 with a $75.00 food and wine reception beginning at 5:30 p.m. followed by a $145.00 ($240.00 per couple) sit-down dinner with the James Beard award-winning author Alexander Lobrano. The reception will feature regional French appetizers inspired by Lobrano’s book and prepared by Chef Fabrice Marcon, plus a book discussion with a Q&A session and the opportunity to meet the author. Immediately following the reception there will be a dinner that will afford a limited number of guests the chance to enjoy a meal featuring recipes inspired by Hungry for France and an autographed copy of the book (couples package includes one book to share).
Hungry for France includes recipes, photographs of dishes and restaurant interiors, and inspiring scenery, as well as engaging details of different regions, from Normandy to Provence. Author Alexander Lobrano is "a savvy bon vivant who lives for the pleasures of the table and knows just where to ferret out all the specialties in each town, the places only the locals know."
