10am–2:30pm, with lunch break | Learning Center | Ages 18+

This comprehensive workshop, designed for current or former students of animation, includes a four-part lecture in basic stop motion puppet creation covering: 1) pre-production puppet methodology, 2) stop motion character sculpture, 3) mold creation and casting, and 4) puppet-finishing fabrication. During the workshop participants will have the opportunity to observe DeCarlo in action and experiment with various figures and materials. Participants are encouraged to bring with them any puppets, armatures, or clay sculptures they have already constructed for a professional critique.

Open to participants ages 18+ who are current or former students of animation
