Robbie Wilson and Emily Perry Wilson of Bird Dog in Palo Alto know what they're doing with this handsome Hayes Valley restaurant, drawing from both French and Japanese cuisine (the menu is long on seafood, much of it raw). A special point of pride is the high-end vintage sound system, and there's a listening room off the bar.
