Le Colonial San Francisco to Celebrate the Chinese Lunar New Year
Le Colonial in San Francisco will be celebrating the Chinese Lunar New Year, this year the Year of the Rooster, on Saturday, January 28, serving a la carte dinner menu specials from 5:30 to 11:00 p.m.
These specials will include Banh Canh, traditional Vietnamese wheat noodle soup/$8.00; Wonton Tom Hum, fried wonton filled with lobster, ginger, cilantro and sesame-soy sauce/$18.00; Ca Chem, whole Mediterranean roasted sea bass with pickled vegetables and ginger broth/$38.00; Da Dau Hu, wok-tossed tofu skin with mustard greens, ginger and oyster sauce/$10.00; and Banh Chung, traditional Tet Ta’s sweet rice cake/$10.00.
In addition, on Saturday, February 11, from noon to 3:00 p.m., the restaurant will host a Lunar New Year High Tea for $30.00 that will include a choice of loose Mighty Leaf tea and select pastries, tartlets and sandwiches.
