Description

A SF favorite swing and jump blues band. Smith began singing in 1988 with an L.A. trio called Bogrumpus, which featured pianist/arranger Chris Siebert; by the following year, Siebert and Smith moved to San Francisco and began building the Skillet Lickers' large following. Lavay Smith is internationally recognized as The Queen of classic Jazz & Blues in the authentic style of the 1940's and 1950's. Lavay's last album received a prestigious 4 & 1/2 Star review in Downbeat magazine and reached the top 10 on the National Billboard Jazz Charts. This is one of San Francisco’s favorite swing and jump blues band.
