SFSP is holding its Annual “Laughs for Life” Comedy Gala at the St. Regis Hotel. Over 300 guests will come together to celebrate the triumphs of the agency and enjoy comedy. There will be many opportunities to showcase everyone who has supported our mission and we hope that you will join us this year in reaching our goals.
Suicide Prevention is a challenging field, one in which every day can have difficult endeavors and conversations. For over 7 years, SFSP has taken one day out of the year to change the tone and celebrate all of the lives that have been saved, honor all of the people who work hard, and remember those that are struggling or have struggled with mental health and loss. We do this by laughing, dining, and cheering together!
Honoring Robin Williams: This year, we will honor the memory of Robin Williams, who throughout his life touched millions of people became a figure-head in the mental health community. Many comics have sent tribute videos and a great deal of the auction will focus on comedy showcases.
Headlining Comic – Greg Warren: Most recently seen on Late Night with Seth Meyers, Greg has also been on "Comedy Central Presents", "The Late Late Show", and "Last Comic Standing". He has been building a strong fan base around the country with his act inspired by his Midwestern upbringing, and his newly released CD "One Star Wonder" is the #6 on iTunes Top Comedy Albums! Greg's Midwestern upbringing and ability to provide humorous social commentary gives him a wealth of material that continues to gain fans throughout the country.
