La Cocina "Diwali & The Festival of Lights" Artisan Culinary Class

Who: For food lovers who want to learn more about cooking Gujarati cuisine!
What: Join La Cocina's talented international chefs throughout the year as they reveal their secrets and equip you with hands-on experience and recipes you'll be able to recreate at home with confidence. Both an interactive dinner party and cooking class, we send you home with leftovers and recipes so you can relive the magic a few times over.

Why: Just in time for the festival of lights, join us for a culinary festival for the senses. Bini Pradhan of Bini’s Kitchen will walk us through her famous Nepalese dumplings (momos) and their importance in Diwali, the ancient Hindu festival celebrated in Southeast Asia and beyond every year. Heena Patel of Rasoi will take us through the Gujarati cuisine of her childhood, from Pav Vada pastries to spicy Pav Bhaji, vegetables roasted with a combination of spices, cilantro, garlic, green chile, and served with hot, soft bread. With some festive drinks and a full dinner, you’ll want to celebrate Diwali every day.
