The Wooden Fish Ensemble brings the music of Korean-American composer Hyo-shin Na and the Belgian composer Boudewijn Buckinx to the stage in “The Wooden Fish Ensemble plays Hyo-shin Na Boudewijn Buckinx!” Featuring the premiere of two new works — MY DEAR, DEAR VIOLIN for violin solo by Buckinx and “KOTO, VIOLIN” by Na — audiences can also expect to hear pieces such as “Dreaming of Li-Po” by Buckinx, and three works by Na: “The Sky Was Beyond Description,” “Koto Ninano,” and “Night Procession of the Hundred Demons.” The six pieces will be performed by four members of the ensemble: Terrie Baune (violon), Shoko Hikage (koto/bass koto), Noriko Tsuboi (koto/bass koto), and Yuki Yasuda (koto/bass koto).
