Don’t miss stand-up comic and author Becky Pedigo in this one night only performance in San Francisco!
Besides having one of the funniest titles ever written, “Killing Me Softly with Jazz Hands” is a rousing, hilarious trip through the comedic mind of Becky Pedigo. Part blog, part essay, part rambling thought, this collection of stories is a delightful diversion from the ordinary.
Pedigo- known for her half hour Comedy Central special and appearances on various television shows including “The Late, Late Show with Craig Ferguson”- has spent the last twenty-five years traveling the globe doing stand-up. She ventured abroad with the USO to entertain the troops, performed at the prestigious Montreal Comedy Festival, and has headlined in every state in the Union (including Alaska and Hawaii), driving through blizzards, floods and pestilence just to bring a smile to the face of someone willing to meet the two drink minimum.
Becky’s comedy is unique, quirky and right on point. She deftly aims life’s skewer at herself and examines how a small town girl with big hopes and dreams can end up behind chicken wire, telling jokes for gas money, while contemplating the irony of existence.
Mark Roberts, creator of the hit comedy “Mike & Molly” describes Becky as, “A devastatingly original comic voice. Truthful, acerbic, hilarious.”
“Killing Me Softly with Jazz Hands” plays for one night only: Wednesday February 20, 8pm, with a book signing to follow. Tickets are $10.00 and are available at the box office. Call (415) 517-3581. STAGE WERX THEATRE is located at 446 Valencia St, in The Mission District.
