Grab your friends and come enjoy a day at the races like no other when we host our annual Kentucky Derby Party on Saturday, May 4. Play the ponies, sip mint juleps, and bring a hat for our annual Run for the Roses Hat Contest.
Compete for cash prizes in three hat categories:
1) Funniest & Most Outrageous
2) Best Racing Theme
3) Most Glamorous
Best of all, we're giving away cash to the top three hats in each category: 1st Place - $300 2nd Place - $200 3rd Place - $100
How to Enter the Hat Contest:
Signup for free Here or the day of the event at the races.
Deadline to enter: 1:30 p.m. on May 4, 2013.
Come enjoy a day of great people watching and get lucky with a couple winners.
Party Starts:
The party starts at 11:00 a.m. and runs until 4:00 p.m.
What to wear:
Bowties, seersucker suits, fedoras, big hats, and sundresses are not required, but are greatly appreciated.
Free Shuttle to the races:
Take BART to the North Berkeley station and our free shuttle will take you to and from the races.
What's It Cost:
General admission is just $6 and kids admission is free.
(Club House admission is $8 and Turf Club admission is $15).
