The Kazbah is a burning man sound camp and artist collective with an emphasis on healing. The Kazbah is based out of San Francisco and operating in Black Rock City and beyond. 2013 was our maiden voyage to The Playa and it was clear it we were onto something big. After several successful underground events, we are excited to bring you our first public event at none other than one of the premier night clubs in San Francisco, Public Works.
Rob Garza-
As one half of electronic music pioneers/producers Thievery Corporation, he has been at the forefront of music and has traveled the globe performing, remixing, djing, recording and composing.
Since Garza’s recent relocation to San Francisco, he has begun a re-exploration of his love for electronic music and beats focusing on Nu-Disco, Cosmic Boogie while keeping very groove oriented and outer-national based rhythms. Recently he has been djing and remixing, taking things to an even more spaced out and trippy level.
James Teej Bio
James Teej is a 32 year old Canadian born electronic music artist, producer and DJ currently residing in Toronto, Canada. With a career that already spans over 15 years and with over 15 years of professional music training, James has been a die hard music enthusiast for all things electronic, and is fast becoming one of Canada’s rising influential stars in the global underground music scene.
In 2008, James began releasing his innovative sound to the world on what has now become a long list of respected recording labels including: Rekids, My Favorite Robot Records, Rebirth Records, Supernature, We Play House, No.19 Music, Galaktika Records, Connect Four Records, and many more.
Constantly pushing sonic boundaries, all the while exploring the deepest recesses of house and techno, James’ music has been enjoyed the world over. And with highly successful remixes for such artists as Trentemoller, Adultnapper, Toby Tobias, Kenny Glasgow (of Art Department), My Favorite Robot, Patrick Zigon, and more, James has also become a highly sought after remixer for labels all around the world.
With track support from the worlds top DJs and producers, a list that already includes Laurent Garnier, Radio Slave, Carl Cox, Danny Tenaglia, Osunlade, Steve Lawler, Jamie Jones, Seth Troxler, Damian Lazarus, and many more, James is carving out his place in electronic music.
With this amazing level of worldwide support, James looks to continue his journey of creating highly emotive music that will continue to touch people the world over, in clubs, on the radio, at home, across borders, and cultures.
