Very few can boast this set of trump cards, but it just happens to be the hand dealt to Australian singer, songwriter and guitarist Kara Grainger who exhibits an effortlessly seductive and modern take on roots, blues and soul music.
Her backing band consists of Spencer Wright on bass, Mathew Alger on drums and JT Thomas on keys, together this rhythm section has been compared to such great acts as ‘Booker T and the MG’s’ as well as ‘The Funky Meters’
